Role overview

MylesPort International is recruiting on behalf of a client — a licensed Romanian recruitment partner placing international workers with employers across Romania. Romania has a sustained shortage of construction, plant and logistics labour and recruits from outside the European Union on legal, contract-based employment supported by a state-issued work permit. Romania's warehousing and distribution sector has grown rapidly around Bucharest, Ploiesti, Timisoara, Cluj and the western corridor, and recruits internationally to staff it. Warehouse roles are typically shift-based, indoors, and supported by scanners and a warehouse management system. Loaders and unloaders work the dock: stripping inbound trailers and containers, sorting goods to the receiving area, and building and securing outbound loads so that they travel without damage. The role is physical and paced by vehicle arrival and departure times. No formal qualification is required. Employers select on physical strength, safe handling technique, reliability and the ability to work at speed without damaging goods. Forklift or pallet truck certification is an advantage. Roles are released as individual job orders, each with its own employer, location, salary and start date. Key responsibilities

• Unloading inbound trailers, containers and vehicles safely and efficiently
• Sorting and staging inbound goods to the receiving or putaway area
• Building outbound loads in the correct sequence for the delivery route
• Securing loads with straps, wrapping and dunnage so goods travel undamaged
• Checking goods against manifests and reporting shortages or damage
• Operating pallet trucks and dock equipment safely where certified
• Meeting vehicle turnaround times set for each dock slot
• Keeping loading bays, docks and walkways clean, clear and safe
• Working to correct manual handling technique on every lift
• Compliance with dock safety rules and correct use of protective equipment

Candidate requirements

• Valid passport with at least twelve months validity, and a clear scan of the bio-data page
• Demonstrable experience in the trade, supported by certificates or employer references where available
• Police clearance certificate
• Able to pass the medical examination required for the Romanian work permit
• Basic English is sufficient; Romanian is not required before arrival
• Willing to relocate to Romania on a legal employment contract
• Able to work outdoors through the Romanian seasons, including cold winter conditions
• Two passport-size photographs, plus educational or trade certificates where held
• Clean immigration record with no active refusals or bans
• Available to travel once the work permit and long-stay visa are issued
