Role overview

MylesPort International is recruiting on behalf of a client — a licensed Romanian recruitment partner placing international workers with employers across Romania. Romania has a sustained shortage of construction, plant and logistics labour and recruits from outside the European Union on legal, contract-based employment supported by a state-issued work permit. Certified plant operators are among the most consistently requested roles on the Romanian demand list. Machines are supplied by the employer, and operators are expected to run them productively, keep them serviceable and work safely alongside ground crews on active sites. Forklift operators are requested across both the construction and logistics demand lists. Typical work covers loading and unloading vehicles, moving and racking palletised goods, feeding production or picking lines, and material handling around sites and yards. State in your application the truck types you are certified on — counterbalance, reach, pallet truck or telehandler — along with your operating hours and whether you have worked with scanners or a warehouse management system. Roles are released as individual job orders, each with its own employer, location, salary and start date. Key responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of vehicles safely and without damage to goods
• Movement, stacking and racking of palletised goods to designated locations
• Feeding of production, picking and dispatch lines to the required rhythm
• Safe travel and manoeuvring in aisles, yards and around pedestrians
• Correct assessment of load weight, stability and stacking height
• Scanning and recording of stock movements where systems are in use
• Daily pre-start inspection of the machine, with defects reported before use
• Routine operator maintenance including greasing, fluid checks and cleaning
• Safe working around ground crew, banksmen and other plant on site
• Compliance with lifting plans, exclusion zones and site traffic management
• Accurate completion of machine logs, timesheets and fuel records
• Secure shutdown, parking and isolation of the machine at end of shift
• Immediate reporting of incidents, damage, faults and near misses

Candidate requirements

• Valid operator certificate or licence for the machine, with documentary evidence
• Valid passport with at least twelve months validity, and a clear scan of the bio-data page
• Demonstrable operating hours on the machine type, supported by employer references
• Police clearance certificate
• Able to pass the medical examination required for the Romanian work permit
• Basic English is sufficient; Romanian is not required before arrival
• Willing to relocate to Romania on a legal employment contract
• Able to work outdoors through the Romanian seasons, including cold winter conditions
• Clean immigration record with no active refusals or bans
• Available to travel once the work permit and long-stay visa are issued
